Baltimore City Council Hearing Medicare for All

We are asking everyone to arrive at 4:15 PM for a 4:30 press conference, the hearing will begin at 5 pm!

The American healthcare system is not working.  We pay more for healthcare than any other country yet 82 millions Americans still don’t have health insurance or are under-insured and forced to delay or put off healthcare completely because of cost.

Healthcare industry profits are higher than ever, medical illness is the number one cause of personal bankruptcy in the United States.

The Affordable Care Act has not controlled skyrocketing costs of healthcare. Health outcomes including infant mortality, maternal mortality, preventable deaths and life expectancy in the United States continue to lag behind other wealthy countries where universal healthcare is guaranteed.  Race and income level continue to be determining factors in health outcomes

The solution is Medicare-for-all, a single-payer program that guarantees quality healthcare to all people as a right, not a privilege.

Come learn hear from experts and learn that M4A is a local issue!!
